We are getting married and we are overjoyed! 🥰
It is quite a love story that we believe is a miracle. After multiple heartaches and broken relationships, we met in the most unlikely time using the most common way of meet up in this modern world, online dating. It doesn't take long to know that we are both not only a match, but the match that we have been longing for. A match made in heaven, so to say. We matched because of none other than that one detail that made us swipe-right: Christian. We both have experienced dating with those that don't share the same belief, and though those were filled with beautiful memories, they were not meant to last. Because after all, our identity is tied closely to our Christian belief.
One fine Sunday afternoon, Etha decided to say 'Hi' to Braydon and the conversation led to him asking for a first date the next day. Little did we know, that first café date on the 7 November 2022 has changed our life for the better. One week after our first meeting, we decided to date each other exclusively. Then, one week after that, an unintentional meeting with the entire family from Braydon's father's side took place to celebrate Oma's birthday, which grew the feeling of familiarity. Skip forward to a month later, we decided to go on an impromptu camping trip for the New Year holiday, with set-up and pack-down of the tent every day, plus driving hundreds of kilometre per day, for two weeks. We thought that if any resentment would ever arise, this could be the perfect time, but the opposite happened. We were both surprised of how patient, supporting, and encouraging we can be to each other. Love is growing, and stronger.
Then, with Etha's finishing up study coming closer and having been away from the family for multiple years, we decided visiting Indonesia could be a fun getaway and celebration trip. The timing also couldn't be better with two of Etha's best friends also tying knots on the similar period. Long story short, Braydon met Etha's family and it was just right. So, we decided to make our commitment to each other official and vow to honor the union of our hearts in front of our close family and friends.
